I think that this set of horns has a repo copy that can be bought or did have some years back ?

Yes here they are .





Here he is alive in Tanzania, before the Lions killed him in 91 or so !

Has anyone got any photos of the world record cow cape buffalo trophy? I think it was the record for both bull and cow at one time. It was shot by a famous PH, he recounted the hunt in his book. How his client couldn't shoot and wounded everything, so when he spotted the huge cow trophy, he just marched into the middle of the buffalo herd and shot it for him. I forget who the PH was and the book's name.

Amazing bull-one question, are the bosses as small as they look or are they just dwarfed by the rest of the horns? Definitely interesting either way.

a search in the internet links to some pages of the book

Clary Palmer Wilson 64 inches cow

quite a story of this cow in Tanzania 1946, lake Manyara.

This record was the Rowland ward world record despite being a cow's trophy.

Now in second place.
Third place is also a cow shot in 1972 : 59 3/8 inch

That back Bull looks like our topic starting Bull, or his brother/Father, if the pic was clearer would be able to tell from facial scars & ear tears ?
