.350 Rigby vs .350 Rigby Magnum?

.350 Rigby vs .350 Rigby Magnum? Is there is any difference? Are they the same cartridge just some calling them differently?

I think "magnum" in this case means mainly the action size. Both .400/350 (rimmed) Rigby and .350 Rigby (rimless) were build in Mauser magnum actions.

That is true, but generally, when the term "350 Rigby magnum" is used it is in reference to the rimless cartridge.
Rigby actually called it their 350 Magnum but I don't think they ever did with the 400/350 rimmed version except maybe the 350 No.2 loading but I would have to look at period Rigby literature to be sure.

My understanding when I see the term .350 Rigby Magnun is as Huvius stated, that means for the .350 Rigby Magnum Rimless cartridge with the 220 grn bullet loaded to 2600fps. They also made the rimmed Rigby .350 #2 which was the .400/.350 case loaded with the 220 grn bullets to the same 2600 fps instead of using the standard .310 grn bullet for the .400/.350. The rimless cartridge has more taper in the case as well. My Heinrich Scherping Double rifle..circa 1910 is marked .350 Rigby Magnum # 2 as original Rigby ammo boxes for it are marked "Rigby's .350 bore #2 High velocity Nitro Cartridges".

Have a look at how the Brits defined the "Magnum" monicker in the 1920s. Major G. Burrard, DSO, RA, Editor of "Game and Gun", in "Cartridges for Sporting Rifles"(Quote):
Small Bore: A rifle the calibre of which is less than .400 in.
Magnum Small Bore: A small bore rifle which has a muzzle velocity of 2500 fs or more.
So most of the hunting cartridges in use today qualify as "Magnum Small Bores" as the pre-WW2 Brits defined them.

By the way, eventhough Rigby had Mauser make the original step ring magnum action for the 400/350 and used the magnum action with the full width receiver ring for the 350 magnum (and 416), the 350 magnum cartridge fits quite nicely into the standard length action and magazine. If I were thinking of a medium bolt gun, a 350 Rigby Magnum on a commercial action would be at the top of the list.

I just noticed that .350 Rigby could fit quite easily to my SAKO Mauser FN 98 action. It´s magazine hole is quite long, almost 91 mm but because I already have my husqvarna m98 in 9,3x64, it´s better idea to do 7x64 which has been my aim for a long time.

Funny, if the No.2 was rimless, the 350 Magnum would be considered an "improved" cartridge by todays standards.
Westley Richards also made a version of the 318 with a more abrupt shoulder which, along with this 350, predate anything P.O. Ackley designed. In fact, both existed before Ackley probably even fired a centerfire cartridge!
