I have meet them at IWA.
Extremely well made, and very, very nice action.
We got their professional prices list...it's on the high end.
Perhaps in a near future we will take one of their special magnum for a .500 Jeffery, even if we prefer to use pre war blue printed Original Mauser actions or FZH ones for southpaw.
Best to all.

I received an Email with these prices which are Trade Prices ,also states there are various discounts available 5 -20%
Short Action :2997
Medium :3170
Magnum :3420
Magnum Jeffery :3530
Machined for round or Square Bridge :120
This is all in Pounds
Good to see a English made M98 action especially a Magnum action ,so if you build an English style African rifle it will have an English made action ,which makes it all the better ,Good to see it made in the UK ! pretty well a Rolls Royce of actions !

500Boswell

I know it would be nice English but really, traditionally,
a gun on English lines has always been a German Mauser 98 with the exception of the Parker Hale which is a copy anyway.

Either way, they look damn well done and good to see people
going to the quality end of the market instead of aiming
for the bottom end.

Yes 500 Nitro your right, the 98 has always been traditionally a German product ,but i think its cool to see them manufactured in the UK ! For what they are, a Top quality product, i think they are good value for money ,considering some of the ridiculous prices for English double rifles ,good to see something like this being made in England and a Magnum action ,not just the usual standard actions ,i give them a BIG thumbs UP!!!!!!!!!

No, Paul, on the newly made RIGBY by "Mauser" they will use Prechtl actions, as they do for the so called "Original" Mauser 98'
Among the German made Mauser clones FZH are much more finner even if they are more costly.

Dorleac, have you used one of the Mayfair actions since you last posted on the topic. I am keen to hear from anybody who may have had a rifle built using one of their actions.

We have an order for building a .308W stutzen using one of their very fine kurz action.
Alas, being overloaded by works I think we will not start that project before the beginning of n'est year....!

Joel, it will be interesting to hear what think of the action when you start building, looking forward to it and thanks for letting us know.

8620 Steel, these are probably the strongest Mausers ever made.

With your kind indulgence gentlemen, please permit me a short rant about all newly-made Mauser 98 action clones:

Why reproduce that grotesque cheese-head coin-slotted screw that secures the ejector/bolt release? It is the single ugly thing about 98 actions that otherwise exhibit nothing but functional elegance in their simplicity of design.
Surely a modern-made clone could have a recessed screw-head, or a slim domed head with indexed narrow slot, or pretty much anything other than that large obtrusive wart on the LHS of the action!
All modern clones retain this awful screw-head, some asking thousands for bare actions in the white. Why, why, why?!!!

Anyway, there we go, I've said it now, back to my shiraz...

Yes why didnt they ever recess that screw on Modern Made 98s ? would look a lot ''smoother ''........and get rid of the weakening thumb slots .

I like being able to drop a cartridge on the follower with my right hand and holding the rifle in my left hand have the thumb positioned to push the cartridge down into the magazine while the right hand is reaching for another cartridge.
I like the traditional look as it is. Immediately identifiable from any angle as desirable.

Yes I like the thumb cut out too. Makes it much easier to load the rifle...
