Searcy 470 For Sale at Ivory Beads

I stopped at Ivory Beads today and they had a like-new Search 470 Nitro for sale....$6500. Their site is www.ivorybeads.com They will be closed until next Thursday but a photo of the gun is on their website under "New Arrivals".

$3,000 off retail and 8 rounds.....that's some expensive shooting for the original owner.

DBBill, the "LIKE NEW" Searcy that is priced at 6500, and is listed under "NEW ARRIVALS", is one of the old ones built on the blue steel Browning BSS action. These rifles actions were re-heat treated, and had a third fastener added. These are strong rifles, but cannot compare to his new ones made on his own actions. The BSS actioned rifles sold, origenaly, for US $3000. There is one of these BSS rifles,still around, that had over 6000 rounds of 470NE fired through it, and was still tight when sold to a PH in Africa! So you don't have to worry about strength! That rifle belonged to someone in California, who bought the rifle for load developement, and experimentation.

The rifle 470NE that is that is US $8900,listed under "RIFLES" is a field grade rifle made on the Searcy action, and is replaced by the PH model today, which sells new for US 10K, and is going to US $12K shortly!
