You are fortunate to own a complete original rifle such as this. They are few and far between in this condition. Congrats.

Rigby at its best. Would be very tough not to use that one quite a bit. There are lots of builders who used Mausers, great makers for sure, as is known I am a big Fraser fan.....but Rigby really does "do Mausers" the best.
As I am always willing to learn, is the "scooped" out bolt handle a factory done technique or "applied" at a later date ??? I have seen a few scoped Rigby's with similar.

...........A party of us were away North. One member had just bagged a mountain goat - about timber line. My partner and I were not far off, so we went over to the lucky hunter to offer felicitations and to photograph the trophy. We where about to go our way, when several heavy shoots rang out from above. "That's George, he's got something. Come on !" So away we all scrambled! Another shot! Helter-skelter, along rocky ledges, up and ever up! "Boom!" Excitedly, we hastened our already break neck pace across, expecting to find our Pal with a least a grizzly, or maybe, a fine goat with a record head; to our utter astonishment all he had to show for all the cannonading where plump ptarmigan-about the size of barnyard pigeons. And, blyme, he'd blown their heads off with full charge cartridges in a .350 Rigby Magnum rifle! What a man!..........
This is a quip from a story by noted Canadian outdoor writer Bertram Chichester back in the 20's or 30's.
Years ago while leaning on the back bar at the Explorers Club in NYC, Jack Hem read us a story his Dad had recorded about a trip in the O'Kanagan Lake area with a "George" hunting big game and mentioning that his "Rigby" rifle performed very well. So accurate that along with a museum bag of big game he fed well on headshot ptarmigan. This "George" was George Bird Grinell.

Very nice rifle. I have recently received the exact same scope for my rifle. Any help on how to adjust/sight the scope? I do not wish to muck it up by trial and error.

Such rifle sets a certain standard in any collection...anything of lesser condition must go out.

I've had quite a few great classic bolt guns go through my hands but in retrospect, the 350 Rigby was probably the one I should have held on to... Everything about these 350s is just right. Although I would like to build one on a standard length Mauser...

This magnificent rifle is now happy amongst 3 other classics in Australia. A factory engraved 416 bolt 1926 build a 275 double as new 1926 build and a 20 bore underlever shotgun 1910 build. When I get around to it the guns will be loaned to Mick in the NT for test and reports.
