One doesn't come across one of these very often...

It is in .375 X 2 1/2".

We are pretty sure this rifle was actually stocked in the Dickson workshop.

I haven't had my hands on it yet, but it's with a dear friend, who I'm sure is taking veeeeery good care of it.

is it possible to see bigger pics of the front sight? it seems similar to my own Wilkinson .375 mannlicher front sight and I thougth this was a later replacment because it looks like someone had worked there.

I don't belive so. The barrel inscription "shot and regulated", not even "finished", tells the rifle was bought in as a completed rifle and merely retailed by Dickson. The stock is very similar to my .256 that was proofed and most likely made in Birmingham for retail by W.J.Jeffery & Co., London.

I just bought one this morning in 6.5x53R that looks identical. It has shot and regulated by army navy on the barrel.

Absolutly a fine piece of a rifle. Love to own one regardless of caliber.

I'm trying out the new slippers - an Australian sent them to me. He said all the really good hunters use them there.
