WW Greener Empire based .475 Project

WW Greener Empire grade 10 that I bought with barrels in severe condition, now has a monoblock by Ellis Brown in 4140, with a pair of .475" bore barrels in Pacnor #4 contour (very close to Searcy .470) fitted. Will be chambering to my wildcat, .475 Morrison, which is a blown out .45-110 to .475. She'll be strong!

I always thought a Greener Empire would be a good action to build on.
Nice long bar gives it a proper rifle look.

Felt the same here, it is a massive frame and monoblock, I may yet decide it should be a .470 Nitro but still going ahead with the .475 Morrison plans.

I must confess to having an interest in this build and it's progress as well. I think keeping the weight down will be a challenge on this rifle and hope you can get it down to a manageable figure. Out of interest, how thick are the barrels at the muzzle on this profile?

Your .475 Morrison cartridge has me intrigued. Are you able to give us some details. I can't imagine a more satisfying project than building a double chambered for your own cartridge. Although as you say, if the weight ends up a little high the option is there to use the .470 NE chambering.
