Help with a 11.15x5 double rifle

I've been offered a German double rifle in what is described as a 11.15x60mm with the neck cut down so that the overall case length is 50mm. I cant find any information on a 11.15x50mm. Can anyone help with this mystery?

sounds like a 45-70 to me...except for a milimeter or two shorter

Could well be the 11.2x51R Kropatschek if it got a neck, have you done a chamber cast?

there are over 120 different wildcats based on the 11,15x60R Mauser case in old german catalogs before WW 1. there is not so much to help. make a chamber cast, slug the barrel and order a die set.simply that!

He says it has a neck and that he fireforms 45-70s to fit. I'm not buying it unless I can find out what it is. I'm tired of having to mess with obsolete calibers that aren't easily made.
