Tikka T3 Battue in 9.3x62?

Anybody have any ideas on these rifles? Seriously considering ordering one with the wood stock.

We sold a few SAKO Battues years ago when I was selling SAKO's. I really liked them.

I was not a big fan of the Tikka action due to the plastic parts, but am not sure what the current Tikka sports.

I liked the sights and general handling of the rifles, and really wished SAKO spun out a South Paw version.

Do they now?

I just bought T-3 Hunter for my son's first deer rifle in 6.5x55mm and have to echo 9x57's comments. A nice rifle, points well, but a lot of plastic on the bottom. Smooth bolt and good accuracy...just not sure about the plastic...

One of these days, I need to get around to milling some aluminum or steel bottom metal for the thing...

nice, good handling hunting rifle! good cartridge too....(better than the .35 Whelen).
Although made actually at the Sako Range, it´s more a kind of a hard-working-version to the more deliciously made sakos......(but also not nearly as highly-priced as the sakos).
The plastic-parts (magazine and so..) could be interchanged by a competend gunsmith with steel-parts....

Actually wondered about the non-metal parts myself,since the T3 series first came out. Talked to a few friends in Sweden that use them,and I've seen no mention anywhere of problems with them. So I held off on ordering one until now. Just have to wait 4-6 months for it to be built and delivered.
