Falling Block with tube magazine ?
      #384766 - 10/05/24 03:50 PM

Another puzzle....
A kind of drop-block breechblock with tubular magazine in .22 long, the lower "trigger" operates the block and controls the cartridge feed. Unfortunately I only have these photos, no manufacturer is visible. It should be an Belgian manufacturer due to the Belgian proof marks.
Has anyone ever seen anything similar?

So many weird and wonderful actions where made, in the mid to later 1800's and even into the 1900's.

Odd one for sure!
Didn't the old Martini Henry have some side arrangement they trialled before the Lee-Metford's came in?
