Once again, not to bring up an old thread :-)

This thread came up as I was searching for "engraved brno 602." I have just taken possession of ser#110XX (have been told not to put full serial number up ?), ZKK-602 with date code 85 and in 375H&H. Different engraving !!! Bear motif on plate, this one is in gold on black instead of silver and also appears to be OEM/original/factory ? Rest of engraving is otherwise VERY similar. My apologies, cannot post images at present as I am traveling ... at the airpot and do not have a usual "image hosting site." Off to London and WILL be doing a pilgrimage to H&H and Purdey's, just a pilgrimage.

Does anyone have any further information on these guns ??? I am ALSO in Canada, the gun was passed on to me by my godfather who has little recall of its provenance.

Many thanks for any further insight and I promise to post pictures on my return but will have to find hosting for this forum.

Hi Rapier,

Firstly, welcome to the forum, we all look up old posts that give us an insight into the past or what other people have done.

As for the Brno 602's there a lovely firearm and very popular on NitroExpress. It is a shame that you can not post some photos as this gives the members various details of the rifle, engraver etc so I would suggest to wait until you get back home or get some-one to do it for you.

There are several Brno fanatics here so you will be in good hands and we all look forward to the pictures,

4 months later !!!

And still, all I have is the iPhone images from when I took possession. However, this remains a mystery.

"Gold" engraved, Bear motif, ZKK 602 in 375 H&H, factory from BRNO, and awful similar to the other two engraved ZKKs here.
