Mickey, Waddya mean that nothing is gained...you've just turned an old worn out derelict of a caliber into the ultimate varment caliber of all time...Right...Ray...help me here, Ray...
I put "Obsolete" in "quotes" to imply that in my mind, nothing that shoots is ever obsolete. I like'em all. Thats why I have three safes full of guns and moths in my wallet, starving!!

Ray is just going to neck down the 10.75 to 416 to avoid Royality Payments. Just shows what a sly old dog he is.

OK, here is the deal, I will shoot a bunch of Buffalo with it and my new Searcy double this year and then I will sell the 10.75x68 to the highest biddera at a losss to me, at least thats the way most of my projects go!!
I would be better to buy hammers at $3.00 and sell them for $2.00 then to be messing with guns!

Ray,
I'll wager that most of us here have made careers out of buying high and selling low. I broke even once, a few years ago...still get twitters just thinking about it.

I've done that many times but I've always been able to make it up with volume.

You WHAT!!!??? Man, I'm in trouble now. I sent out the press releases about the new and ultimate "SHORT, FAT ATKINSON 400++"
I told everyone it would be out about the time the Ruger Gold Label would hit the shelves...I guess it is true, after all...

Ray Even if you buy a "ready made" 10.75x68 Mauser I expect a royality payment. The 10.75x68 just might be the best all round big bore bolt rifle for NA. Enough "thump" not too much recoil, and enough ambiance and snob appeal to make it interesting. Maybe I better call the patent office.
