Bob Jones had this rifle on his website--

At $5900 what do you think for a 375 H&H?
Is this a quality gun??

I don't like the way the wood fits at the back of the right side of the reciever. Wood to metal looks like a rough fit.

Quality looks good to me. As far as the wood fit the only thing I see is the wood is a little proud of the metal but fit seems to be excellant. Action looks like a basic Merkel O/U type action. With a S&B scope and in as good shape as it appears I would think it an excellant buy. I don't particularly like the hogback european stock style and the small cheekpiece but my new Merkel has the hogback stock and while I don't like the LOOKS the FEEL is superb. I'd go for it if I wanted a 375 H&H. Have never heard anything bad about Gamba.

Personally would rather have a Chapuis 9,3. It is a SXS and costs a couple grand less to boot.
