I am looking for a scope for my CZ550 in 375H&H. I have seen a second hand Leupold M7 3x. Does anyone know what they are like.I know they are an older scope. Is it suitable, both in ruggedness and quality for this calibre? Am I restricting myself too much with the 3x. The positive is it's much cheeper than a VX11 1-4. which retails around $470AUS new. The M7 is about $180.

The old 3 power Leup is a quality item.
If in top condition $180 is a good deal IMO.

The M8-3X Leupold is as tough a scope as you could ever ask for, plus it's long enough to work on any magnum-size action, and with room to spare.
Every time I run into a Leupold executive, I promote the idea of bringing it back into the product line, but this idea has been met with luke-warm enthusiasm and a mix of answers.
If you can find one, buy it!

Thankyou gentlemen for your replies. I left it a bit late and missed out on the 3x. Have now
bought a 1-4 VXII. Haven't sighted it in yet. That brings me to another question which I will post soon.
