Just seeing that sweet little hulk has me wanting to take my C&H 8bore action and stock out of the safe and park it on the workbench.

Agree that it probably is a good deal assuming all is mechanically sound with the rifle. One could shoot it as is or even properly restock and restore the metalwork and actually make a buck or two on the rifle I think.

Not bad, agree that it needs ot be properly restored. Does H&H still do this to all makes. A good friend of mine, had all his double rifles and shotguns restored by H&H back in the 60's and 70's. Then, it was only about $600.00 per gun and another $600.00 for the fitted leather bound case. they came back in show-room condition - absoutely beautiful.

I think that is a lot of money for a Damascus rifle. Restored would cost more than the increase in value would allow.

I figure mor like $12k, maybe.

Do you really think damascus detracts that much from value?
Seems like alot of gun for 12k. If the gun is sound and shootable what restorations are necessary?

Well take into account that this is probably the lighter 8 Dram load. We can only see pictures, so don't know the condition. Other 8 Bores with better appearance for same or less money. Replaced pad. Some chipping and dings in stock.

That's my offer if I want to try and buy it. Might go up but would need to see it first.
