Hartman und Weiss catalogue online
      #62269 - 09/09/06 05:24 AM

This could be posted in virtually any of the gun forums as the catalogue contains double rifles, single shots, bolt rifles etc - I am posting it here because this is the forum that gets maximum visitors. Hope you like it.

Good hunting!

Very Cool!

Are there any advantages from the Hagn to the Heeren SS's?

Thanks Mehul, you certainly dig up some pretty cool stuff! I've been trying to find something like this from H&W for a long time.

Bulldog 563,

Not much that I know about the advantages of the Heeren over the Hagn - maybe some expert would tell you more about both. I know that the French gunsmith Alab VAussenat felt that the Heeren's extractionw as a weak point and he developed his own version of the action, though, when a company like H&W make guns on this action, they would have their own solution for it's weaknesses as well.

Erik,

Glad to know that you like this, my friend. It would be nice if H&W were to put up their own website though someone has done us a favour by posting their print catalogue on their website.

Cheers everyone,

Mehul

Mehul
after having met the H&W gentlemen on several occiaions, they dont strike me as the kind of guys who would have a website or all that much to do with the internet.

they are truly craftsmen of the old school and their work is exquisite in all aspects .....form and function.

thanks for posting the catalogue !

Double Trouble,

Over the years we have seen several internet shy companies come onto the net - Boss in the UK being a prime example. I guess there still is hope for those of us who have slim wallets (like me) and can only drool over the pictures of the guns that Hartman und Weiss make. I had some communication with Martin Hagn in the mid 1990s when he worked as a one man show and did not have a catalogue. Today, after Ralf Martini's joining him, he has a lovely website. Let us hope that his good friends in Germany follow his example.

Zaitsev,

YOu are fortunate becaue this catalogue is just abd for your bank account. All my bank accounts put together wouldn't do much more than order a catalogue. Forget about ordering a H&W gun in my case.

Good hunting, gentlemen, and I am glad oyu enjoyed the post.

Mehul:
i didnt mean to infer that there was anything wrong with not being on the net, in fact, i kind of admire the way these guys go about their business its the tried and true old school way that, today, seems rather fresh.

The products that they produce speak for themselves and the last time I saw them they seemed to be rather busy with orders.

i agree with you though and share that same slender bill fold it sure is nice to see the wonderful rifles that they produce on here!

Double Trouble,

I understood that you meant that H&W had little time to build a website. My only wish is that they would engage someone to do it for them - it costs hardly anything and they could use their print catalogue as the basis for the website itself. I envy you for your friendship with them - they are truly artists in everything that they do.

Good hunting,
