Steyr Carbine Scope mount question.

I've been offered a Steyr carbine, but can't recall their Q.D scope mount system.. If I recall, Steyr has a round action which would call for bases for the Q.D rings.. many times in the past I have seen the bases block the sight picture for the open sights when scope/rings were removed.. Does anyone have any experiances with this model? pictures would be even better!... Oh-ya.. this is the newer model Steyr, plastic magazine, humpback stock ect...

I've got a heavy barreled varmint model of this rifle and the QD mounts are made by Akah. To remove the scope you grip the rear mount between thumb and forefinger and pull the knurled grips backwards, this disengages the rear mount then swing the scope side ways as in a dove tail mount to dis engage the front mount.
You are correct in thinking the bases are round.
I recently bought a new plastic floorplate/triggergaurd from my local supplier for £45 Sterling.

Skeetshooter1 Thanks for your reply... I tried to find AKAH website with no joy. Do you have any web information I can go to?... I have a Steyr SSG69, is this the same Q.D system as the civilian Steyr models? I don't have the carbine in hand and I can't recall for the life of me the civilian version set-up..
