The .577 Ty was built on a P14 Enfield by A-Square.
The .585 Nyati was designed to fit in a Model 98 Mauser (after radical alteration) by Ross Seyfried.
A person using the handle Robgunbuilder at www.accuratereloading.com has figured out how to build a .585 Nyati on a CZ550 and make it feed correclty.
However, for either cartridge you are better off getting a Granite Mountain Arms magnum mauser action with .750" bolt body diameter.

i have a friend that is having a 577 Nyati built on the Rem 30S. It is a very nice and strong action and will easily handle the big case.
A more pertinent question would be why would anybody want one?

My 585 Nyati is being built on a Bauska BBK action which is very close to a ZKK-602, so I would say that you can use a Cz550. A good friend of mine also has one on the Bauska action and, although his rifle is not completed, it is shootable and has proven itself to work quite well.

I built and hunted with one to prove that I am tough. But the rifle disproved the hypothesis which I originally set out to prove. Perhaps I would have been better off to leave things ambiguous.

Dan,
Most men would actually not be tough enough to admit that. Which proves that the hypothesis was maybe right after all?
