It'll be interesting to see how much a box will cost here in Australia...
You can only hope that if some of these bigger companies start producing .416 Rigby ammo, than it might go down in price.

I would assume that the 416 ammo manufactured by Hornady will be of good quality. I have used their ammo in other calibers and have always been extremely happy with their product.

I'm sure it would be as well. I just want the price to come down

Recently I had a chance to shoot a Ruger #1 in .416 Rigby but only shot 3 rounds as the box cost about $105.00 Those 3 shots did make a cloverleaf at 50 yds. with open sights so there was not any reason to shoot any more. Good thing about Hornady loading a caliber is that the components become available and this really helps on the cost of brass in the larger rounds. Dave

Good news indeed...but you just have to handload this guy. I could never afford to shoot mine enough if I didn't roll my own.

I'm glad I own a Rem 416. To buy my ammo it is about half what the 416 Rigby is.

Hornady closed out a bunch of 410 Woodleigh ammo, it appears. I bought a couple of boxes of solids for $49.95 ea from Midway recently.
