A nice looking 470 NE by Halliday & Co with an interesting history. Halliday guns are quite rare as the company was not around for all that long before the war started.
I have a MS Model 1910 from Halliday and finding any information on the company has been difficult. Still, the small number of guns that I have seen have been very nice.
I met a chap who had a very nice Halliday 12 bore box lock ejector with 28" barrels in the original case which he wanted to sell, but when he found out that I was very keen as I had a Halliday rifle and wished to add the shotgun to the collection he increased the price dramatically, so I told him to stick it in his eye. A pity really as it would have made a nice pair.
Anyway, Enjoy.
Matt.

A really nice piece indeed, very nearly a hundred years young & more than capable of doing another hundred more with ease - if looked after as well as this! Shame about the shotgun Matt, a blokes word should be taken as it is & not recanted, bet you would have like to put something else in his eye!

I wish they would show the dolls head to give a clue as to the maker. The engraving looks like it was done in a similar style to Jeffery rifles.
