Hi Guys and Girls,
About eight months again the forums went private to members only for a specific reason.
Memberships actually increased at that time as the "browsers" and members who couldn't bother to log in had to join or log in. And one can't post and interact if one isn't logged in. Probably dropped off overtime, but I don't think it hurt the forums all that much. BUT our displayed photos here used to fill some google searches. I am not sure that still occurs to the same extent.
These forums are about participation, not for people just browsing.
However, I have decided some of the forums will be made public again.
May change this policy at any time, depending on how it goes, and also other events happening in the world.

Most of the forums have been made public again, with mostly the following exceptions:
Members only forum;
General Forum;
Humour & fun forum;
Politics forum.
Plus the Reloading for doubles and General Reloading forums. As any person reading and using these have to have agreed to the membership rules, of no liability attaching to NE or the forums for use of anything recorded there.
Pobably some other special interest forums.
