I am not very familiar with these rifles and appreciate any input. What would be a reasonable value for a Perugini Vasini box lock DR, used but great shape, Swarovski scope, claw mounts, 9.3x74R?
Thanks, Dan

Thanks Gryphon. I had done the same which is the source of my confusion. The book indicates a high value of 1900.00 but the asking price on GI is in the range of 45k. .???

You can't even get a "Dremel'd" Sabatti 9.3x74 for only $1900........ (Well maybe a Dremel'd one) Depending on model the Perugini & Visini is a fairly high end piece. - Mike Redstone, Colorado

Thanks 3DogMike. This must be one of their lower end models since it is case colored, no engraving and nothing special about the wood. But still even a working man's DR with a nice scope and claw mounts must be worth in excess of $8k, right?
BTW, love Redstone. Stayed at the Cliffs lodge several times......

Perugini and Visini is one the better gunmakers here in Italy, a dear friend of mine have one side by side made by them and it's a great working rifle(No engraving and nothing special about the wood) without scope or scope Mount. I don't know the USA high-end rifle market but i belive if you succeed to buy it in Italy you can spend less. If you need other info about that rifle you can send the serial number of it to P&V, they are great man.

Wow. Seems like a great price for that rifle! I was considering the one for sale at this site mostly as an investment but I am just not sure what I could eventually turn it for. Maybe someone else on this site will want it.
