Looks like it was carved in China or somewhere in SE Asia...carving can be commisioned there for very little cost.

Maybe in Bali, local carvers are very skillfull and famous. And quite moderate priced too...

I also was thinking of Bali. Carving is one of the most undervalued art practices in the world. I think the very competent carvers of Bali are averaging about 25 cents an hour..if that.

Agreed,I have a Komodo Dragon here that is so well done its excellent.
