Go straight to the head of the snake!
Ring the Bureau of Drug Alcohol firearms and explosives. Google search them, that will produce a ph number. Then you can ring and ask them direct.
I rang them recently and they were most helpful.
I have a 50/110 Winchester in the safe that came into the country 18 months ago and there is 100 brass to match I brought in 6 months ago.The brass I bought in on a B709a through the post.

good luck

I hope not, but on the bright side, Woodleigh projectiles are made here and Bertram makes cases.

You can't even buy scope rings and bases out of Brownells any more. I went to buy some the other day and was informed that thanks to Obama I now need an Import Permit as the US government has banned export of such items to anybody without a permit. Unbelievable.

It's particularly aimed at high capacity, tactical , assault muzzleloaders.

The well-known Alex Henry 8-bore double was imported to Australia from the US (Alaska) late last year. No problems.

It is now part of the "Top End" arsenal! (no, not mine unfortunately...)

Flint, cap-locks, wheel-locks, dog-locks? - I suspect even matchlocks are verboten. What about a 14th century handgonne? Ooooooooohhhh very dangerous! Just ask a Libtard!

On the U.S. end of things 22 CFR Ch. 1 Part 123 covers the ITAR, Customs and State Dept. requirements for exporting arms. Part 123.16 has a list of exemptions and one of those exemptions is pre-1898 Original and Reproduction/Replica firearms.

On the BATFE end of things 27 CFR has a similarly word set of exemption for Pre-1898 Original and Reproduction/Replica Firearms.

There are a few hoops to jump through(paperwork mostly) but shipping Muzzleloaders and Pre-1898 Cartridge Rifles(even greater than .50 Caliber) isn't a problem so long as the country you are shipping to isn't on the U.S. restricted list.

Now the Gov't BS and Paper trail and Taxes(Gov't Bribes) on the receiving countries end might be a whole other story depending on where the Muzzleloader is going.

I've shipped a couple of Muzzleloaders over seas in the last couple of years and other than a few declarations that had to be made on the paperwork the whole process was fairly straight forward.

Cost of shipping on the other hand, especially with insurance coverage for full replacement value will just about choke a horse.

Just shipped a 600 Nitro rifle to Europe, no problems just need the approved State Dept license. Note, ATF has nothing to do with export
