Gentlemen: I have this .270 M/S with a scope mount I do not recognize. Some help identifying it would be appreciated. Scope is a Nickel Marburg 2 1/2 x 6 Front scope mount is attached in front of receiver. Rear mount has a lever that locks ring into a mount.

Initials on rear scope ring/mount are D.B.G.M.

D.B.G.M. = Deutsches Bundes Gebrauchs Muster which means German Patent.

These mounts are known as "Triebel - Schwenkmontage" = Triebel's pivot mount. These were custom made by Rudi Triebel (+1984), Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, in the 1960s - 70s. They are the predecessors of the EAW and other German pivot mounts. A completely different variation of the claw mount is also known as "Triebel -Montage", but these prewar mounts were made by Albert Wilhelm Triebel, Suhl. Triebel is a rather frequent name in the German guntrade, as 47 persons/companies so named are known. BTW, DRGM (pre-45)and DBGM (post45)are not really German patents. They are best described as "registered and protected designs".

I can always count on members of this page responding with their knowledge.
Thank you Kudae, much appreciated. That is very informative. Searching the internet gave me no references, so I asked here.
