I just bought a new addition to the safe a Herters bolt action,caliber 458 Winchester magnum made in England , i believe that makes it a BSA I think any input. double cross bolts,open sights, lion carved in stock

There is a good write up on the BSA - Royal, Majestic, Monarch and Herters' U9 in Bolt Action Rifles by Frank de Haas. Diagrams, pictures, specs, - the whole smuck. Is there anything specific you wish to know I would gladly look it up for you.
I used quite a bit of Herters "stuff" in my younger days - hated to see the go.

I had a Herters in .308 for a while. Worked well but no resale value at all. From the information I was able to find, most were kit builds so the fitting and finish quality can be everywhere from hideous to custom shop quality.Mine was somewhere in the middle-about like any cheap factory rifle.
