Bought a Vari-X III in 1.5-5 to top my BRNO 602 in .458. Looking for some QD rings. Does anyone know if you can get Leopold QDs to fit the dovetail on the 602? I found some Lynx ones that will do the job but would like the Leopolds if available.
Second question, are the lever style rings OK or am I likely to bump the lever at a critical time? Would I be better with QD's with a nut that can be turned with a small coin....

HDU, I don't know if Leupold makes a QD ring set for BRNO/CZ or not, but I don't think so. I know that Warne and Talley both produce good quality QD rings for those rifles. Burris makes a ring set but I'm pretty sure they aren't QD.
Also, since the levers are on the opposite side of the action from the bolt, it would be hard to bump them accidently. They are quite tight when properly set. I have QD mounts of my Remington 700 .30-06 with the screw type clamps and I wish they were lever.
I would also think that on a DG rifle you wouldn't want to fuss with finding a coin or screwdriver when it's time to remove the scope. That might have to be done quickly...
Here are some web sites: Warne rings for BRNO/CZ 550

I would be inclined to try some of the better gun shops in Melbourne. Also some of the other members on this site live down that way and I am sure they will point you in the right direction. "470 Rigby" would be a good person to start with.

Leupold definitley do not make them. I ordered some Talleys for my 602 a few months ago. I just sent an international money order to Talley in U.S. I got the lever QD ones and like being able to whip the scope off in a few seconds.

Go with the talley.Just order them direct from talley. They drop ship them directly. I have about 7 sets now and I've never had a problem with any of them.
