If this is gonna be a guide gun only, a 505 should be better. Just for self defense or backup shots.

I personally would opt for a 458 Lott..That caliber is a fine killer of anything on earth..The 505 is too but it sure is a kicking SOB IMO....

I would go for the .458 LOTT You could make your 458 win mag into a LOTT. When I come in March you can try the .500 Jeffery all you want I will bring plenty of ammo The recoil is not bad and the .505 Gibbs is the same. With your size the big bore should be no problem. If ypou get hooked then get one Jeffery or Gibbs either will do.
Cheers,
André

The DWM Modelo Argentino 1909 is the best original mauser action made. They did not rush things in Berlin back then The .500 Jeffery is a great killer you can use mine all you want. The .500 Jeffery is 10 mm shorter then the Gibbs but more powerfull 100 fps Then .500 Jeffery can be made on a DWM Modelo Argentino 1909 action with modifications. Harald Wolf has done it many times. He made on for Tony Sanchez Arino. Now he is sponsered by DUMOULIN-HERSTAL http://www.dumoulin-herstal.com/index_fr.htm Fine company.
The CZ action is ok but does not feel like the DWM you know what I talk about
Cheers,
André

If i were you, i would by a cz 550 ( you said that you will do) in 416 Rigby and would take a new barrel in .450 Rigby! When you choose the big CZ System that would be the best idea, i think. Don t forget the pictures.

jaegers i like all the heavies ,for me the mauser mod argentino 1909 its the best but the cz can handle long cartriges as the magnum mauser action it can be done in argentines but its easier in czs .i think ill buy a 458lott and ill prove something heavier like 500jefery of andre here mauser actinos are very cheap.juan andre we will prove your rifle in evry animal we see.juan
