So nice.
I'd like to see more images of it, especially along the top tang out along the rib.
Neat rifle for sure.

That .450 is an interesting rifle, and I have had the privilege of holding it in my hands.

200% awesome rifle, no doubt. You can take away 100% and still be 100%!
However... having owned a 450 #2, I don't like it. Why? a) the neck is too short. I really had trouble getting the bullet seated well. The shank of most bullets taper and you have very little to "grip" the case. b) the case is too much volume. 3, yes 3 foam wads needed to take up that cavernes case. Before you 450 #2 gents jump on my ass - this is my 2 cents.
I love the 500/450 and personally consider it the best 450 ever. Holland and Holland got that one dead right.

Agree re the 500/450 - that's why NitroX owns my old 450 No 2, not that I ever reloaded for it.
That Purdey is a ripper - very nice indeed.
Very interesting Safety location.

I'm confused?
"The shank on most bullets tapers."
Isn't that the same for every .450?
"The neck is too short and trouble getting the bullet seated well."
Personally I've never had any trouble seating 480 gr bullets to the cannellure.
Which .450 No.2 did you own?

Seeing your mentioning private matters .....
"not that I ever reloaded for it."
So how did you know it "shot well", etc ?
The bold above is interesting to note.
