I recently picked up a nice Jeffery sidelock 450/400. The exact gun is pictured in the 1912-1913 Jeffery catalog and is listed as the #1 sidelock model, it's also shown in the 1926 catalog.
The gun was restocked and although nicely done it's too short. I'm going to have the gun restocked in the original style and I'm trying to determine if it originally had a cheekpiece. There was a similar vintage Jeffery sidelock sold in the December Holt's auction and they don't mention a cheekpiece and neither do the catalogs. The picture in the catalog is cut off around where the cheekpiece would have started and one is not visible. Jeffery sidelocks are rare and the only other one I've seen was a rifle from 1939 that Champlins sold, it had a cheekpiece.
Any help is appreciated.

As you said “Jeffery sidelocks are rare and the only other one I've seen was a rifle from 1939 that Champlins sold, it had a cheekpiece.” They were sold as bespoke guns so I would have the stock made however you want it. Bill
