Men,
As previous mentioned, Hawk bullets sent me 14 over-run 560 gr. .577 bullets to try out for $16.00 - mostly shipping. They are almost as long as the Woodleigh 650 gr RN had have a small metplat. I would call them more semi-spitzer and look very good - especially loaded. The base is "open" so it will squeeze nicely.
Load 1:
65 gr IMR 4198, CCI 250 primer, 3 felt wads 3.325 OAL: shot 10" apart
Load 2: 68 gr IMR 4198, CCI 250 primer, 3 felt wads 3.325 OAL: shot 5" apart
* No hang fires.
* .010" back-out on left due to recoil.
* perfect bullet holes, no yawing.
* bores look fine.
Next loads:
1: 71 gr 2: 73 gr - if needed (max)
This will leave me with 10 remaining that I will share for those who are interested.
