The 700Cal heavy construction bullet will do the job but it has got to go faster than 1950 fps.Needs about 500 fps more.A 1200 gr at 300 fps more work great also. And you can do one at 3% of the price of a H&H. Ed

And they weigh less!
What DO these things weigh?
Some .700 doubles have gone as much as 21 pounds. A .500 double should go 11 pounds. And 13 for a .577.

My 700H 3.25" is a pussycat, it shoots real easy. With the PH action and thumbhole weighted stock it's about same 3.5" 12ga magnum turkey load in a 7 lb 12ga.Ed
