Hello folks, New member here, but have been lurking for a while. I have one double rifle, a Krieghoff Classic 470NE. It came to me by a great stroke of luck. I won it in the NRA Sweepstakes last year. I was very excited until I realized I had to pay income tax on the claimed retail value of 13K. Still, where else could I buy such a wonderful package for $3500? I have not fired it yet, but probably will in the very near future. I have been accumulating reloading goodies and finally have some ammunition assembled. I also had Mountain Molds cut a bullet mold of my own design. Should be an interesting project to develop some good cast bullet loads.
Anyway, looking forward to learning more about these twin tube beauties from you all.
Ted

Ted-
Congratulations and welcome to the site. Get on the search engine here and see what comes up for you on loading for your new rifle.
Start asking questions specific to where you are in the process. There's great experience here on the topic and the guys in the know are generous with the information. For instance, here is a thread on exactly what you seem to be asking about. Check it out -- the rifle is even a Krieghoff in .470
Post some photos of your new rifle!

Congratulations and welcome to Nitro Express.
The 470 Krieghoff is a great double.
Do a search here and on Acccurate Reloading www.accuratereloading.com in the double rifle forum and you will find a lot of info on the 470.
Then ask any specific questions that you might have. There is a wealth of knowledge here and on AR.
Many of us use our double rifles for deer wild pigs and black bear.

Also tell us what part of the USA you are in as there might be some DRSS [Double Rifle Shooters Society] Members nearby that you could shoot with.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am in central Missouri. Is there a website for the DRSS?

Ted we, the DRSS, do not have our own web site. Many of us are here in Nitro Express, and many of us are also on Accurate Reloading in the Double Rifle Forum.
