Nice Otto Geyger. Had one almost like it in 8x60rs. Didn't have the sculptured fences but did have crossbolt and Greener safety but not the same scope bases. I had adapters made to use Leupold rings and made brass from 9.3x74r and it shot VERY well. Front trigger was set on mine. Mine had beautiful complete scroll engraving. Made in late 20's. Actually sorry I sold it but usually am after it is gone. Like the 8x57's. Currently have a new Merkel 141 in 8x57r.

Absolutely beautiful! 
I love the rimless version of this round. Hunting with a double rifle and the rimmed version can only be distinguished for want of a better word.

all are sweet but that O Geiger is just over the top.I have seen a few guns from Geige,all very well done.Where in the world did you find these three rifles you have posted.

Just seen this . Wow.. Lovely lovely gun. Side clips, claw mounts, cartridge trap and great wood.
Fine calibre to.

Hi Dale,
Lovely O Geyger from the golden era.
I also have one but in combo.
I am trying to do some research on Gerger and whoul appreciate some data.
I note the serial # on the barrel flats, but there should also be another number in an oval immediately in front of the top lever on the top of the actio. If yours has one could you possibly advise and provide it.
There is not a lot of info on Geyger, but suffice to say the firm was a retailer and not a maker. The firm seemed to deel in better and best grade guns going by surviving examples. Geyger was the agent in Berlin for Sauer and Son but appears to have been bombed out some time after 1942 when examples stop. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Is this Geiger rifle chambered for the 8X57JR, or 8X57JRS? The rifle looks to be from the time when the 8X57JR (.318) instead of the (.323)
These little double rifles are very well suited to deer and boar hunting, and are fun to own, and hunt with. This rifle is a very nice example of German skill!

I don't generally gravitate towards German/Austrian guns, but some very nice doubles, pop up on occasion. Just happen to have, an 8x57JR boxlock/extractor double, with very nice lines, from the early 1930's.
