after a three year wait i finally got one ,well not in my hands but on the way it is a 3006 model i did see one 45 70 looked real rough 45 70 tubes in a 12 gauge hammer gun,not my cup of tea.this is no beauty queen but for 900 it will do,hey a regular joe gun, fair to look at.i called remington and the said this was the last order and only 100 were brought in.from what i gather one tube is rigid the other is regulated by a cog wheel.will take a scope, for the price and the price of ammo it will be fun to shoot and a teacher fot the kids.i am asking if any of the more educated on this site if they can fill me in on anything about this double that was never to be. it is stamped remington on the reciever ,breaks down like a double.yes it is russian.full 11mm rib.walnut stock not fancy or figured but functional.since there will be no more should i just pack it away, nah its not a collector ots a play toy truck toten deer or hog swamp rifle.please give me your opinion.or personal experiance with this gun that was not to be.
