Mickey--if you have a chance please check the sizes on the brass case.the diameter you show of the case at bullet or the top, seems to big.The bullet size listed seems to small. The smallest I have seen in books is .935 in..Ed.

Diameter of case at bullet is 1.0275. My mistake. Bullet at case edge is .983. Again my mistake. Just because I have a caliper doesn't make me a Machinist.

Is that like having a gun don't make you a marksman or some such?

Thanks Mickey. That bore dia will work great with the brass I use to make them. That size also gets it closer to a true 4 bore size as opposed to the .935 shown in the books for 4 bore paper shotshells. True 4 bore would be 1.05 I think, and to get it that big, the 20mm brass wouldn't have a big enough rim. What is the weight of the 4 bore bullet in the Imperial case?.Ed

I don't know the bullet weight as the it is a loaded round. I don't have a scale that can weigh the whole thing any closer than a 1/4 pound. (the baby scale)
