This is an incredible beauty! Just love the lines of a Black Powder Express rifle. Absolutely lovely!

Another very nice rifle! Thank you for uploading these pictures for us. How does that forend release work? Do you push it to the side? I have never seen one like that before.

Jim,

Yes, that's the functions principle on the forend release, you push it to the side.

Now that I look at it again, it's obvious--I guess that I focused too much on the lever itself and I wasn't paying enough attention to the other clue--the fact that it's pushed to the side in the picture!

Looks likes "Crown" over "V" on the watertable and both flats. What are the initials on the underside of the right tube forward of the flats? I guess why "Dectschland"? Maybe an export gun to the colonies?
