Scope mount for Dutch Mannlicher
      #391488 - 07/05/25 03:59 AM

I am interested it mounting a scope on my Dutch Mannlicher, and thought of using a Pachmayr low swing mount. Since it needs to be loaded with a clip I could swing the scope to the side for loading.
I see a couple on Ebay that look like the base would fit my receiver.
My question is..has anybody used one of these mounts? are they practical solution to the mounting.

Here is a thread (from another 'site) regarding 'scopes for a '93 which suggests that solutions for the Mannlicher Schoenauer will work well: Scopes Mannlicher 1893

If you wish to go first rate (and high priced), perhaps consider a claw mount.

For those of you that are familiar with the Rusan QR mount, Would this be a viable solution to using on the Dutch M95?? The company is located in Germany as far as I can tell. I know nothing about the mounts just seen some for sale on Ebay

Rolland, the Rusan brand is made in Croatia I believe.

I would be using original factory type Steyr mounts such as those made after the war, they suit the split bridge really well. Those are shown in the link above by Rothhammer. The only thing you will have to work around is that the rear mount on the factory base is designed to mount on a flat surface like on the MS whereas your rear bridge is convex on the outside.

You can also use a combination of a Recknagel pivot mount on the front and a genuine style base and ring at the rear.
