There's a Lyman 36 for "Mann. Schoen. Mod. 1950 and later" (per box) on Ebay, $425. USD.

I love the Lyman 36's that I have on a couple of my MS. Today, I would be hard pressed to spend that kind of money on iron sights.

They have become quite expensive, as has the Lyman #1A.

These have become unobtanium, very hard to find at any price:

There are also several sets of double set triggers for der MS on Ebay right now, all at $600 plus.

I really like the bolt mounted peeps. I've been able to cobble a couple together out of some used peep sights that I purchased. Greek Mannlicher firing pin locking nuts can be purchased easily. I then silver solder the peep onto the nut so that I can keep the original nut unmolested.

Fjrdoc, that is very nice.

I have bolt mounted peeps on my Newtons.

Thanks 85lc. My Newton has a factory mounted peep. I enjoy shooting and hunting with these old girls without optics. Very satisfying.

My M1903 Mannlicher-Schoenauer has the Lyman sight on it. Fantastic!

I posted a lot of photos of that grand rifle at this link:

I've noticed you haven't sent it to me for "breaking in" - yet.
