Stock carvings

Saw a 1950 with the optional "Acorn" carving.Very nice.Found a 1950's catalog and saw there were many carving options.

I have never liked stock carvings, but itīs ok for me if someone does. In the 70īs and 80īs I think it was rather popular...... /S

Stock carvings if done carefully and in moderation can look fantastic and really enhance some guns. The Germans are very keen on it, however they often overdo it and it can spoil an otherwise great gun. Apparently they have what is called "A fear of open space".
