Another 1910 Takedown
      #236413 - 05/10/13 10:50 AM

After a patient search I finally secured my new to me 1910 Takedown. Proofed in 1927, it has the pop up tang site and folding butt trap. Apart from a few rub marks on the magazine metal and a few minor dings and scratches on the woodwork looks in very good condition. I hope to add to these marks in the coming weeks.

Goes well with my Army Navy Mannlicher 6.5x53 as below, which I have to admit I prefer. Oh to find a 95 in .375

Nice! Looks to be a clean one. Be curious as to the bore size. I've been told that the 1910s varied a lot in their bores.
Is there a more confused cartridge than the 9.5x56M/S, aka 9.5x57M/S, aka .375 Nitro Rimless, aka .375 2 1/4, aka etc, etc?? What makings for such a great cartridge, yet the confusion continues a century later.
At any rate, nice rifle and that little A/N is a sweetheart as well.
