MS 6.5x54 Facts
      #198466 - 02/01/12 08:27 PM

Hi All
Im busy writing an article on the 6.5x54 for our local shooting magazine and just need your help on some fact clarification.
Am I correct that Kynoch is the only present manufacturer of 6.5x54 cartridges using 140gr bullets and norma brass? Does anyone know the brand of the bullet.
Am I also correct that Norma is the only case manufacturer or does Bell and Bertram also make cases?
Finally im looking for a balistics table for the 160gr bullet during her heyday.
Thanks for the help

Blue Zulu, ammo available from RWS in 159 grain, I bought 100 rounds the other day, all components available widely, ammo also available at most US custom makers, pm me for balistic table on 160 grainer or go to RWS website, best, Mike

I'd thought Norma ammo in 156gr. was available as well.

I just checked their homepage and there seems to be only cases.

Daryl, from memory Norma used to make it till a couple of years ago, definitely one to reload as RWS ammo is expensive, I think I paid about GBP150 excl VAT for 100 rounds 2 or 3 weeks ago rgds

Try emailing David Little at Kynoch

http://www.kynochammunition.co.uk/

He/they will probabally tell you what bullet is used.

Thanks guys, The 9.5 MS how does it compare to the 9.3x62, there are 3 rifles for sale in South Africa at the moment I think in okay condition but will need attention they are going for in US$ 850
The 9.5 should be easy to reload forming 3006 brass? and 375 Bullets? Has anyone had experience with this calibre, Im thinking it would make a good calibre for my clients to use if they dont bring there own rifle and they dont like the recoil of a 375 H&H
