The I.Meffert rifle is neither a Haenel M1900 nor a M1909 action, but merely another try to "modernize" the obsolescent M88. Meffert's gunsmith went great lengths to make and fit new bottom metal to a standard M88 action to convert it to a flush magazine, probably merely single-stack two- or three-shot.
The action lacks the earmarks of the competing Haenels. The most obvious is Haenel's gas flange on the bolt, sandwiched between cocking piece and striker nut. The attached photos show the M1900 on top and the improved M1909 action below. Haenel forged their receivers completely different from the M88 to acommodate a staggered-column 5-shot magazine. Note also the different boltstop-ejector arrangements of the Haenels and the guide rib of the M1909 bolt.

very interesting, you believe that we have seen all now?
with a little time on the computer it would be possible to show all the different variants in a separate thread for a complete overview. from the first M 88 with unchanged military action about the Romania model and the Suhl made specials to the last GK.
have you ever seen a M 88 sporter changed for M 98 stripper clips?

No, we dont have seen all till now and this will probably also not the last:
http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=3365733

"Mannlicher - Schönauer rifle( what is not true!)making from Robert Hüsner/Stuttgart probably in 1914
7x57 Mauser, unknown scope 4x32 on claw mount, this was the rifle of a PH in Germany from 1940-1970,
good efficiency with the RWS TIG load"

whatever this is ...

IMHO this is one of the rare "Remo" 3-shot repeating rifles. Made in small numbers during the 1920s by Gebrueder Rempt, Jagdgewehrfabrik, Rimbachstr. 39, Suhl. This action, like the Haenel and Schmidt&Habermann actions, could not compete with the well-established Mausers and Mannlicher-Schoenauers, let alone the countless military surplus M98 actions available post-WW1 for building sporting rifles. Consequently, these rifles are quite rare today.
Here is the advertisement from the ca.1930 Burgsmueller,Kreiensen, catalog:

The safety, bolt stop and cartridge stop are giveaways to identify the Remo.

thank you axel
yes the Remo rifle, we have had this before but I forget it http://forums.nitroexpress.com/showflat....true#Post166492

so we know at least two of this rifles here. I think that the bolt of the Remo rifle have some similarity's with a M 88 bolt.
