My new left-handed Searcy Field Grade .450 Nitro
      #160109 - 08/05/10 01:07 AM

I recently received my left-handed Searcy Field Grade double
rifle with 26" barrels in .450 Nitro Express x 3 1/4". It is a beautiful rifle.
The wood is very nice and the stock fits well. The rifle is well finished
throughout and locks up like a bank vault. This rifle is a great value. This
is the first time I have enjoyed the luxury of left-handed triggers and a
stock with cast-on. Given the good fit and a cushy recoil pad, the rifle
is comfortable to shoot.

If weekend weather ever decides to cooperate, the next step is accuracy
testing, chronographing the Hornady factory ammo and developing loads
equivalent to the factory loadings.

Here are a few snapshots. Ignore the fly on a few of the photos.
He is a publicity hound.

Use a double rifle. It just feels better.

Hi Okguy,

Your new toy is really "Mickey Mouse" well worth the wait to get what you want exactly or at least for the amount of $$ that you wanted to spend. Any animal that you kill with this one will not know that it wasn't a Holland & Holland.

Cheers,

Jeff Gray

Nice DR by Searchy. I think as time comes, he is getting better and better.

Thumbs up....

I have a question, is there more to a left-handed DR than just the cheek piece on the stock? Will it eject differently or are the sites set differently? Just wondering.
