Can any one identify this bolt for me, I'm after a bolt for my Gibbs Steyr 1893 6.5X53R & I know it is not from one of these ?
Any info appreciated .



Photobucket messed these up I will try to fix it up, I hate that site !

Looks like a bolt from a Savage 340 series rifle

I think you are right, it was the Mannlicher handle putting me crook, I was hoping it was some cool European Rifle's bolt LoL !

This is a minor detail but I think the 340 had a conventional ball
The earlier model 325 had the Mannlicher type handle.

Does your rifle have an ejector set up like a Mannlicher Schoenauer? If so an 1895 Dutch Steyer bolt will work.
If your ejector is in the bottom of the receiver behind the magazine housing you have the 1892 Romanian design.

Thank you for the insight Ireload2, I have a 95 Dutch bolt I use in it right now out of my Carbine, but I need one for this sporter to !
