A few favorite Drillers
      #246699 - 30/04/14 03:57 AM

Hi, I hope you don't mind me posting two favorite drillings here. I am not promoting them to be gun of the week...just thought I would share.

Pre-war Neptun with original Zeiss Scope. 16x16 x 8x57

Pre-war Simson with original Hensoldt scope. Bad pics...sorry.

In the field (Simson on right, Stiegele on the left) Using new Brenneke Slugs! :-)

lots of them lost it in the storms of the last century

Yes, both are in 8x57r. Thanks for the comments...Believe me, I feel really fortunate to have found both and then to have the opportunity to use them in the field. Fortunately, my children adore them as well so hopefully they will have a long, very caring, career in my family. The Neptun was apparently stored and not heavily used as the cocking mechanism for the right lock was broken when it came to me. Again I certainly feel happy to have them.
