300 WSM --goat taken off pasture..slow mo film ..

Seems to work..

Anyone currently reloading or using this caliber ??

I had a chance to shoot it in a SAKO Finnlight--really like the feel of the gun and the caliber seems to work just fine. Dont think it offers anything many other 300's dont already do...but something new to tinker with is always fun and interesting...

Would it be nice to shoot that caliber with rifle which weights only 6,8 lbs ?

You can see the air disturbed by the bullet's supersonic path. Goat felt nothing.

Excellent filming Ripp. Not a bad goat either.

I know recoil is a very specific thing to each and every shooter..some find recoil in one rifle excessive while someone else finds the same rifle just fine..I have shot lightweight rifles chambered in the 300 Win mag.. and while I wouldnt want to shoot 100 rounds off the bench, I didn't find it intolerable..and willing to bet in the heat of the moment when you pull the trigger on that monster standing across the canyon, you won't feel a thing..

Stock design is so VITALLY important in felt recoil - and for many people suffer from recoil when it is not necessary. Trouble is finding that stock shape & the design of stock & scope setup that works for you.
