Brno / CZ550 Stock Interchangeability

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if a Brno 601 in .243 caliber have the stock changed and replace it with a CZ550 Medium size action stock??

Most think it will work but has anyone done it for real.

Your help would be appreciated,

Hallo Jeff,The Brno zkk in 243 is actually a zkk601 and is a shorter action than the zkk600,cz550 I think

I JUST REPLACED a broken ZKK600 7x57 with a CZ500 lux and fit perfectly

Jeff,The rifles(Zkk and Cz) are pretty much the same so it would be a case of fitting a slightly longer action stock (CZ550) to the slightly shorter rifle (Zkk601) .I do not own a ZKK 601 but I do believe it is slightly smaller between the screws than a ZKK600. A Zkk 600 and a CZ550 are exactly the same dimensions .In this case it could be done but it would take a little work and some stock inletting and bedding skills.
