Very nice rifle - congratulations & thanks for sharing the pictures. Is this a Belgian rifle? How does this compare with the Heym, Merkel etc. Are they more like the British doubles?

Thanks for the comments on my latest mistress.
Yes, it is Belgian. The most amazing thing about this particular gun is that it is in excellent, all original condition! Most of color case is still bold and vibrant to the naked eye.
The barrels are in pristine condition for being 80 years old.
In regards to the Heym/Merkel/etc DRs, I would compare this more to the English guns in regards to handling and looks. If you look at the gun, it looks very British.
In regards to handling, Heyms are nice guns, but I have not had to change to handle my new girl next to a Heym. My gun handles a lot better than the Merkel .500 NE I used to own.
