How do I post pics so they are open in the message like other posters?

Like this?

Simply type immediately after the URL. Make sure there are no spaces between the URL text and the [img]s.

There is a thread on 'Posting photos in NE.com' in the "IT tips, queries & info + Help Desk" forum further down the main index, if you have trouble.

Hope this is understandable. Give it a go!

Very Cool.

To post pics you need to download them into Photobucket (or something similar). Then click image and put in the url from under the picture at photobucket in the space that opens.

I'd like to see the muzzles.

How does it handle?
Are you offering such conversion jobs for sale?

Brian,

You, sir, are a master craftsman! This is a lovely rifle and hat's off to you on your superb work.

Congratulations and very good hunting!

Tinker,

Just realised who the poster is. Mr Perazone is a master gunsmith and an ACGG member. I do wish that he would post regularly over here and post pictures of his many superb creations over the years. Yes, he does build guns and, if you're interested, you could contact him to commission what you want.

Cheers!

Just to set the record straight, I am not a member of the ACGG.

So Brian,

What about an image of the muzzles, wether or not you're offering this kind of work, and what the price would be?

Just curious, seeing the photos here on the forum had me wondering.

Brian

Did you have this rifle at the Vintagers? If so it is nicely done and would be fun to shoot with.

I hope Brian will not mind my posting the link to his website.

Sorry for messing up and saying that he was an ACGG member - he was on military duty overseas instead.

Good hunting!

Brian,
That looks like a fantastic job!

I've always hand the jones for a 22 Hi Power (Savage) or 22 Hornet in a light and handy double.

Of course, I've always wanted just about any fine quality double, but a 22 Hi Power would be different.

DPhillips

Quite a few 22 Savage Hi Power doubles exist in the world today
- it is one of the few small calibre double rifles that seem to pop up regularly.

Too small for me but I can understand why everyone likes them.

That is a beautiful little rifle. I am in awe of anyone with the skill to do this kind of work, fence posts are about my limit
Out of interest, and I apologise for my ignorance here, but does anybody know of any .30-30 doubles being built on shotguns?
Never really thought of it before but I reckon it would make a fun pig rifle.
Even wondered if when the Spartan/Baikal sxs
makes an appearance it would be possible to rechamber one to 30-30. Given that these rifles are supposedly rather light
I just wonder if .30-30 wouldnt be a nice "shoot it all day"
knock about gun.

Terref

I haven't seen a 30-30 but I have seen a 444 Marlin
which seemed to work well.

I like your idea of a 30-30 as a knock about / pig / shoot all day gun.

.32-40 was a very popular chambering for a light double, Kynoch loaded the cartridge for decades. I have seen examples by Tolley, westley-Richards, and Webley & Scott. The cartridge just 'looks' better than a .30-30, like a mini .450NE, and ballistics are not too shabby either with modern powder and bullets.

Brian

That is a lovely little double rifle. Thanks for supplying photos of it.

Can you tell us more information about it? What is weighs for example? Length of barrel, etc

If you wish to display more doubles of your creation, please start a thread(s) with descriptions and links to the photos, and I will see if I can edit them (etc).

Thanks again.

Those look like custom-fitted Leupold QD mounts.

I used Leupold gunsith bases and machined and contoured them for the rifle.
